Fundamental experimental research focuses on the impact of natural electromagnetic waves and fields on the nervous system of hematophagous insects.

In the course of evolution mosquitoes have developed life-saving reactions to escape natural enemies and electromagnetic fields, caused by atmospheric discharge. This behaviour stems from the mosquito’s genetic information (DNA) and in our research, we make every effort to widen and deepen our knowledge about the escape reflexes (especially signals and information), which are build on the neurons’ cell surface.
